Nominees for Board positions must be an Individual Member* of YACVic, or work for an Organisational Member of YACVic. Individual Young Supporter Members are not eligible to nominate or vote for Board positions until they become an Individual Young Member on the first anniversary of their membership.
Board Members fall into three categories:
- Young Board Member – A young person between the ages of 18 and 25 (inclusive) on the date of the AGM, who may, but need not, be a Rural Person.
- Rural Board Member - A Rural/Regional person who may, but need not, be a Young Person.
- Individual Board Member - A person who is not a Young Person but who may, but need not, be a Rural Person.
