The Irish Australian Support Association of Queensland is seeking a dedicated, community-minded leader to take on the role of President. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of Irish individuals and families across Queensland.

As President, you will guide the strategic direction of a small but impactful charity that provides vital support to community members facing hardship, isolation, health challenges, and moments when they simply need someone in their corner. You’ll work closely with IASAQ staff, a committed board, volunteers, and partner organisations to strengthen IASAQ’s programs, advocacy, and community outreach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Board to ensure strong governance and clear strategic vision

  • Representing IASAQ at community events and within sector networks

  • Supporting fundraising and partnership development

  • Ensuring the organisation remains sustainable, effective, and true to its mission

This role is ideal for someone with leadership experience, a collaborative approach, and a genuine connection to the Irish Australian community. Whether you bring professional expertise, lived experience, or both, your contribution will directly support the wellbeing and resilience of our community.
