Tender Funerals drives social change around death and dying. It is a not-for-profit, community-led social franchise model that delivers personalised, meaningful, and affordable funerals. Operating since 2016, Tender Funeral services operate in the Illawarra and Sydney, the Mid North Coast of NSW, and in Canberra, while actively supporting communities in QLD, NSW, VIC, and WA to set up new Tender services. Tender also provides community education to improve death literacy, funeral director skills, and awareness of funeral options.

The board has a diverse mix of skills among its members and is seeking someone with financial or accounting experience to complement those skills. 

Role Purpose

Treasurer and Board member

To offer support and advice to the Board regarding financial matters, as well as to TFA’s Chief Operating/Financial Officer.

To be a member of the Board’s Finance and Risk sub-committee.

Skills and Experience

Applicants must have strong financial analysis skills, ideally familiar with the Australian Accounting Standards. Experience in the community sector would be an advantage.
