THE ROLE

PALS Board members are volunteer positions. PALS is seeking to appoint two Board Members. One person who is willing and suitably qualified to also serve as the Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee and another person with extensive experience in Marketing and Communications.The Board, consisting of a Chair and 6 - 8 Committee Members, and the CEO meets monthly via MS Teams plus additional sub-committee meetings and an annual strategic planning day (held face-to-face in Yarrawonga).

BOARD MEMBERS

As a Board Member of PALS, you will, using your extensive skills and experience as a Board member, play a critical role as part of the Board and alongside the Executive Team, in the strategic leadership and governance of the organisation. Your values will align with those of PALS.

AUDIT AND FINANCE COMMITTEE CHAIR

As Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, you will use your extensive skills and experience in Financial Management to lead the Audit and Finance Committee to assist the Board in leadership, strategy and assurance in relation to:

• The financial strategy, financial sustainability and financial performance of PALS.

• Considering and making recommendations to the Board in respect to the operational budgets and underlying budgetary assumptions.

• Providing recommendations on the disclosures, integrity and adoption by the Board of PALS financial statements.

• Assuring an effective and independent audit assessment function for PALS.

• Providing independent advice and assurance to PALS on the internal control systems of PALS.
