ABOUT AMaGA WA

The Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) is the national organisation supporting museums, galleries and collecting organisations across Australia. AMaGA WA is the Western Australian branch. We support the people and organisations who care for WA’s cultural, creative and historic collections. Our work helps ensure these collections are preserved, accessible and valued by the community.

Our small team delivers projects across the State, including:

  • Supporting regional museums to digitise their collections and share them online through Collections WA
  • Providing training and practical advice on collection care and management
  • Advocating to government for sustainable funding and support for WA’s cultural organisations

We work to strengthen the sector so it can continue telling Western Australia’s stories — now and into the future.

AMaGA is a registered charity with DGR status.
