Beyond Blindness is seeking a passionate and skilled professional to join our Board .

We are looking for a Board member with expertise in any one of the following areas:

  • Finance

  • Marketing

  • Fundraising

About Beyond Blindness

Beyond Blindness supports people who are blind or vision impaired across South Australia. We provide social connection, outreach services, financial assistance, educational programs, and advocacy to empower our members to live independently and confidently.

As we continue to grow and expand our regional presence, we are strengthening our Board to ensure long-term sustainability and increased community impact.

About the Role

This is a voluntary governance role (not operational). Board Members provide strategic oversight and contribute to the long-term direction of the organisation.

Depending on your expertise, you may contribute in areas such as:

Finance

  • Reviewing budgets and financial reports

  • Supporting financial sustainability and investment strategy

  • Strengthening financial governance

Marketing

  • Enhancing brand positioning and public profile

  • Increasing community awareness

  • Supporting communication and engagement strategies

Fundraising

  • Developing donor engagement strategies

  • Identifying sponsorship and partnership opportunities

  • Supporting revenue diversification initiatives

Board meetings are held in Adelaide, with hybrid attendance options available.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has professional experience in finance, marketing, or fundraising

  • Thinks strategically and understands governance responsibilities

  • Is passionate about inclusion and community service

  • Can contribute time and expertise to Board discussions

Previous Board experience is welcome but not essential.
