The Australian Flying Disc Association (AFDA) is the recognised national sporting organisation responsible for flying disc sports in Australia, including Ultimate and Disc Golf.
AFDA works with state member organisations to grow participation, deliver national events and support Australian teams competing internationally.
AFDA is seeking an independent Appointed Director to join its Board. This recruitment forms part of AFDA’s transition toward a skills-based, majority-independent Board aligned with contemporary governance expectations for national sporting organisations.
Directors contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of the organisation and may also participate in or chair Board committees.
Prior experience in flying disc is not required. Applications are encouraged from candidates with governance, leadership, communications or stakeholder engagement expertise who are interested in contributing to the development of sport in Australia.
