About the Organisation

New South Dwarka Ltd is a rural devotional community and stewardship project based in the Southern Highlands/Goulburn region. Our mission is "Simple Living, Higher Thinking," focusing on land regeneration, ethical cow protection, and Vedic education. We are establishing a stable, not-for-profit environment that demonstrates responsible, land-based living.

The Role

We are looking for a third Director to join our inaugural board as we finalise our ACNC Charity Registration. This is a Governance-only role, ideal for a professional (accountant, solicitor, or retired executive) who wants to support a unique community-led project with a focus on environmental and social impact.

As the founder manages all day-to-day operations, your role is to provide the high-level oversight required for ASIC and ACNC compliance.

Further Information (The "Risk & Commitment" Part)

Liability: The company is a Public Company Limited by Guarantee. Under Section 1.3 of our Constitution, the financial liability of Directors is strictly limited to $10. Personal assets are legally protected by this structure.

Commitment: A minimum of three (3) meetings per year is required by our constitution. These are short, focused sessions to review governance and objectives.

Location: Meetings are held via Zoom / Video Conference, so you can join from anywhere in Australia.

Compliance: Your appointment is the final step in ensuring our board meets the statutory minimum of three directors, allowing us to move forward with our charitable status.
