Path 2 Change (P2C) is a registered not-for-profit community organisation based in Newcastle, NSW.Our purpose is to reduce and prevent homelessness by supporting young people to overcome barriers, achieve independence, and connect with community.
For over 35 years, P2C has worked with young people (typically aged 15–24) who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, including those transitioning from Out-of-Home-Care. We believe that every young person deserves a safe place to call home, opportunities to grow, and support to reach their potential.
We are accredited under the Australian Service Excellence Standards (ASES) and operate with a strong commitment to quality, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Our Programs and Services
Path 2 Change delivers a range of evidence-based programs that empower young people to build confidence, resilience, and independence:
- Youth Pathways Program – practical support for young people at risk of homelessness.
- Premier’s Youth Initiative – specialist assistance for young people transitioning from Out-of-Home-Care.
- Empower Me – life-skills workshops covering communication, financial literacy, and employability.
- Employment and Training Support – mentoring, transport assistance, interview preparation, and job readiness programs.
- Community Partnerships – working with schools, employers, government agencies, and other community organisations to create sustainable housing and employment pathways.
P2C does not provide accommodation directly but collaborates with a broad network of housing and support services to meet the needs of young people holistically.

- Respect and Inclusion – we value diversity and work with all young people in a culturally safe, trauma-informed way.
- Empowerment – we enable young people to develop skills and make positive life choices.
- Collaboration – we partner with community, business, and government to create better outcomes.
- Integrity – we act ethically, transparently, and with accountability.
- Innovation – we adapt to meet emerging needs in a changing environment.
