Targeting:

Ramble Arts (formerly RYT) enriches the lives of young people in the South Australian Riverland and Mallee through creativity, theatre, and play. We make art with and for our community, empower children and young people as artists, makers, storytellers, learners, and doers. We offer professional development for teachers and artists, opportunities for parents/carers to interact creatively with their children, community arts-based projects and, crucially, a safe place for all children and young people to be themselves. 

Our volunteer board provides governance, stewardship and strategic oversight of not-for–profit Ramble Arts. It exists to ensure the organisation is well-run, financially responsible, legally compliant and aligned with its purpose and values. Board members are custodians of a 40-year legacy and partners in shaping the next chapter. This role requires care, curiosity, accountability and a commitment to supporting young regional creatives and the Riverland community.

As a regular Board Member, it’s estimated that your contribution to board functions should take up an average of 4 hours a month. 

• 1 hour reading time of Board Meeting Documents
• 1 hour Board Meeting time
• 2 hours of additional communications, support, policy review within your areas of interest and expertise across the month. 

Should you take on a role like that of Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer or Secretary, additional commitment will apply. 

Board members are also strongly encouraged to volunteer for and/or attend Ramble Arts events whenever possible.
