Satellite Foundation is seeking passionate and skilled Directors to join its Board and help shape the future of an organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people and families navigating family mental health challenges.
Established in 2009, Satellite is a not-for-profit organisation that connects and empowers young people where a family member experiences mental health challenges. Through creativity, lived and living experience, peer connection and community-based programs, Satellite works to reduce isolation, build confidence and support children and young people to feel seen, connected and less alone.
The Board is particularly interested in hearing from individuals who bring experience or expertise in fundraising and philanthropy; finance, audit and risk; legal, governance and regulatory compliance; communications, public affairs and advocacy; community engagement and partnerships; and/or lived experience and community perspectives relevant to mental health, caregiving, youth wellbeing and the communities Satellite serves.
This is a voluntary governance role requiring approximately 10–12 hours per month, including evening Board meetings held in a hybrid format.
