Connellan Airways Trust (CAT) is a philanthropic trust focused exclusively on remote and very remote Australia, granting roughly $400,000 a year to individuals and organisations, with a strong emphasis on education and health outcomes.
We are seeking two voluntary Board Directors to join CAT, at a time of strategic renewal. This is an opportunity to oversee grant assessment, financial governance and strategic direction for a long-standing Outback funder.
What we're looking for:
- Understanding of the contemporary Australian philanthropic landscape and modern granting practices.
- Prior experience as a Director or Trustee, ideally in a charitable or trust context
- A strong connection to remote Australia (particularly Western Australia, Queensland or South Australia)
- Strong working knowledge of the education or health sectors
- A Diploma in Governance from the AICD, ICDA, or other relevent organisation.
