Collective Power Boroondara is a member-owned community energy cooperative helping households across Boroondara reduce energy costs and navigate a complex market. The Volunteers Lead is a dual-function role: you sit on the CPB Board as the voice of volunteers and volunteer strategy — contributing to governance and organisational direction — while also doing the hands-on work of building and supporting a growing volunteer program. These two functions are not separate. The board role gives you the authority and visibility to shape how volunteering works at CPB; the coordination work keeps you grounded in the reality of what volunteers actually need. Time commitment is 6–15 hours per week, flexible and largely remote. A part-time paid assistant is the most likely near-term development, allowing the Volunteers Lead to focus on accompanying volunteers, co-designing training, and contributing at board level.
