This Directorship offers a high-impact, strategic governance opportunity.

This flourishing organisation began as an incorporated association with initial small projects focused on homelessness. Now, 30+ years on, it has transformed into a dynamic, fast- accelerating independent housing charity. Over the past decade, assets have grown tenfold, with growth of up to AUD $500 million predicted over the next five years

Strategic investment, strong partnerships and disciplined growth have positioned the organisation to significantly expand housing supply across Queensland communities providing urgently needed, mixed-model social & affordable homes. Support from government, funding partners and other stakeholders continues to underpin future development activity to support both present and planned large scale development of community and affordable housing, available for purchase and rent. All newly constructed homes, supported by essential social and commercial infrastructure projects.

Projects underway and in planning also include a percentage of philanthropic works to ease the pain of especially vulnerable local groups.

With a substantial development pipeline, increasing asset base and expanding community impact, the organisation is seeking a Director with expertise in finance, infrastructure, property development, capital projects and governance to help oversee its next phase of growth.

This is an opportunity to apply sophisticated commercial and governance expertise in support of meaningful social outcomes.

The role provides exposure to complex governance, growth, investment and risk considerations within a purpose-led environment.

This is a compelling opportunity for an astute, suitably qualified and collaborative senior executive to become an integral part of the multi-skilled and collegiate Board that is driving the solid and remarkable growth of this exceptional enterprise. But to provide constructive challenge in a stable and united Board environment, you will bring sound commercial judgement, strong governance capability and genuine alignment with the organisation's purpose.

As a proven senior professional with top-level commercial acumen, sound judgement and extensive management experience in large scale business, you offer Board, Committee and advanced governance experience. These are essential. As is your deep knowledge of all stages of developing multi-million-dollar property and infrastructure projects.

But also vital to success is your understanding of the social geography and an unshakeable commitment to providing safe and affordable housing for people whose lives have been overturned by Queensland’s ongoing housing crisis.

If this is the type of worthy, people-centric Directorship that appeals to both your sense of justice and outstanding professionalism, we’re looking forward to hearing from you.
