For over 50 years, this respected community mental health and wellbeing organisation has worked alongside individuals, families and communities to provide recovery-oriented, person-centred support for people facing mental health challenges. Delivering a broad range of services, it continuously invests in research, innovation and wellbeing science to shape a better future for thousands of Australians.
With an established purpose led by clear values that are genuinely lived throughout the business, the Board is entering a significant renewal program. This aims to strengthen its governance capability and broaden its reputation as a leader in recovery-oriented mental health, wellbeing and community-based support.
Already respected for its visionary foresight, the enterprise is determined to lead the development of contemporary advances that support recovery-oriented mental health, wellbeing and community-based support.
What’s needed to make it happen is an honorary Director with a pioneering spirit.
You’ve amassed outstanding IT expertise through practical involvement in any of a number of fields, these might include digital strategy, digital, data and/or AI governance, cybersecurity and risk oversight, technology-enabled service delivery, innovative/blue sky thinking and organisational transformation.
With strong interest in recovery-oriented mental health and wellbeing, you will ideally bring a working knowledge of the sector across homelessness, healthcare, disability, addictions, research, technology, education OR other comparable mental health environments. The options are wide open if you can also offer a visionary outlook backed by strategic thinking, emotional intelligence and sound judgement. A mature attitude, the ability to listen actively and a determination to always find the best way forward, will add weight to your application.
Focused on governance, digital oversight and sector-wide impact, you may sit outside the health sector but bring an understanding of lived experience, recovery-oriented practice and the value of connecting closely with practice quality and research initiatives.
