About CrisisFlare CrisisFlare (crisisflare.org) is a newly established Australian not-for-profit — incorporating as an association in NSW and applying to register as a charity — that helps people in housing and domestic- and family-violence, crisis find safe, private support. Our free platform connects people reaching out for help with verified local services and a national directory of 5,000+ support organisations. We are privacy-first and safety-led in everything we build.
The opportunity We are building our founding volunteer Committee and seeking skilled, values-aligned people to help guide a young organisation through registration, growth and real-world impact. This is a hands-on governance role at a formative stage — a chance to shape a service that puts safety and dignity first.
We especially welcome expertise in finance, fundraising, governance, law, marketing and the domestic- and family-violence or community sector, and we value lived experience and diverse perspectives.
Commitment — Our Committee meets flexibly to suit volunteers — evenings, weekends or during the day — roughly a few hours per month. This is an honorary (unpaid) role.
Express interest — Read more and register at crisisflare.org/committee, or email hello@crisisflare.org.
