About ICSF The International Clinical Skills Foundation (ICSF) is a not-for-profit organisation focused on advancing clinical skills education for health professionals globally. The Foundation works to support high-quality education, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across international contexts.

The Opportunity

ICSF is seeking to appoint a Treasurer to join its Board in a voluntary capacity. This is an opportunity for an accountant with an interest in governance, strategy, and health professional education to contribute to the ongoing development and sustainability of the organisation.

Role responsibilities

The Treasurer will:

  • Provide financial oversight and guidance to the Board
  • Support the development and monitoring of budgets and financial plans
  • Review financial reporting (including annual accounts and periodic updates)• Advise on financial governance, controls, and risk management
  • Support compliance with relevant regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Contribute as an active Board member to strategic discussions and decision-makingIdeal candidate

We are seeking an individual who

  • Is a qualified accountant (e.g. CA/CPA or equivalent)
  • Has experience in financial management, reporting, and governance
  • Has an interest in not-for-profit or Board roles (prior Board experience not essential)
  • Brings sound judgement and a collaborative approach
  • Is based in Melbourne (preferred) to support occasional in-person engagement

Commitment

  • Board meetings: approximately 4 - 6 per year (primarily virtual, with some in-person where possible)
  • Additional ad hoc input as required (modest time commitment overall)
  • This is a voluntary (unpaid) position.
