As we continue to grow and strengthen our governance framework, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our Governing Body as an Independent Governing Body Member.
This is a governance role focused on strategic oversight and clinical governance. It is not an operational management position.
About the Role
As an Independent Governing Body Member, you will contribute your expertise to support effective governance, quality care outcomes, and organisational accountability.
Key Responsibilities

Provide independent oversight of organisational governance, quality, and safety.

Attend Governing Body meetings (approximately one meeting every two months).

Review board papers, governance reports, and strategic documentation.

Provide guidance on clinical quality, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Support compliance with Australian aged care legislation, standards, and governance requirements.

Contribute to strategic decision-making and organisational growth.
Time Commitment:Approximately one meeting every two months, with flexibility around meeting times and attendance arrangements.

Essential Requirements

Demonstrated experience in aged care or a related sector.

Knowledge of clinical governance, quality, risk management, and consumer-centred care.

Ability to provide independent judgement and contribute constructively to governance and strategic discussions.

Strong commitment to ethical practice, accountability, and good governance.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Highly Regarded

Previous board, committee, or governance experience.

Executive leadership experience within aged care.

Knowledge of Australian aged care legislation, quality standards, and governance requirements.

Experience in clinical governance, quality assurance, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
