To contribute to the vital work of The Association for Children with Disability (Tasmania) Inc, ACD Tas is seeking expressions of interest from an enthusiastic, suitably qualified, skilled and/or experienced person for the role of Treasurer of the Board of Management.
Widely known as ACD Tas, The Association for Children with Disability (Tasmania) Inc. is a peer-led, not-for-profit, disability specialist family organisation. Established in 1998 by a group of parents of children with disability who recognised the need for a professional, state-wide, family advocacy organisation, today ACD Tas offers independent Information and Training, Advocacy, Case Coordination (NDIS Support Coordination), Consultation, and Peer Support Services to families and children and young people with disability living anywhere in Tasmania.
ACD Tas services are delivered by professional staff, who are in many cases family peers with lived experience of disability, who work out of regional offices in Devonport, Launceston, and Hobart and home offices across Tasmania.
The ACD Tas Vision: People with disability, their families and carers have equal opportunity to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives.
The ACD Tas Mission: To provide community leadership and quality service options that empowers participation in society and improves the life outcomes of children and young people with disability, their families and carers.
ACD Tas views families as equal partners, our services are strength based and our support model focuses on empowering families to achieve self-defined goals for the direct benefit of their children with disability and their families.

(i) parents and other family members of children and young people with disability; or
