FREE webinars for rural and regional community groups - Alternative Ways to Fund Your Organisation

FRRR has teamed up with Our Community to host three webinars specifically designed to help rural, regional and remote community groups to access more funding.

The aim of these webinars is to demystify some of the funding options beyond grants, and to give you the knowledge and tools on how to go about it.

These sessions will build on the Seeking Funding - how to access the funding to turn your project into a reality webinar, run in 2014, as well as other resources like the tips from Ann Bichel on successfully seeking funding.

The webinars will cover three topics:

  1. Planned Giving, including Bequests - 1pm AEST, Thursday 14 July
  2. Sponsorships - 1pm, AEST, Wednesday 27 July
  3. Crowd-Funding - 1pm AEST, Wednesday, 10 August

Each webinar will last for one hour, with time for questions.

Best of all, they will feature practical examples about how other community groups in rural, regional or remote areas have used these tools to help strengthen their community and address pressing community needs.

FAQ

How does a Webinar work? What software will I need for me to attend these webinars?

Good question! A webinar is like a seminar on the web. You watch a presentation on a computer and simultaneously listen to audio - the presentation and conversation are in real time and allow for interaction from webinar attendees. Audio can be streamed online or via a telephone connection. All instructions will be provided via email prior to the start of the webinar. The only software that you need is an internet browser. If you have no internet connection, we can send you a hard copy of the presentation or a PDF document.

I was wondering if there were options if I am unable to listen in on these webinars. Are they being recorded?

The webinars are recorded and made available soon after the end of the webinar.

Can these be viewed online somewhere?

A link to the recording will be sent to you after the webinar.

Is there access to the handouts?

The handouts are available during the webinar and can be downloaded. If you aren't able to download the handouts, please contact Alan Matic: alanm@ourcommunity.com.au. Alan will send you copies after the webinar.
